Hi Franz,

All those questions have them answers in this website:

- 3 weeks is ok yes. See the "Tourism / Recommended itineraries".
- No, you don't need to speak Spanish. A lot of Peruvians, in the tourim in particular, speaks English too.
- For the money, it's difficult to answer in few words. Take a look in this forum, a lot of people talks about them experience.
- September and November are not the best periods to visit Peru. In the coast, the weather is almost perfect, because of the end of the spring. But the the interior of the country, you will still have rains. Not all the day but, at least, in the afternoon.
- If your budget is enough, it's better to take the plane. For exemple between Lima and Cuzco (1000 km) or the south (Titicaca). But it's not necessary and you could go in bus or, (between Cuzco and Titicaca) in train. If you want to go to Iquitos (Amazonia), the only way is by plane.

Have a nice day

Paul

Hola Franz:
I am peruvian, and I can suggest :
the best time to visit Perú is from June to october.
and 3 weeks are not enough to visit everything but the most important
and in this order:
Lima (1 or 2 days)
flight to Cusco and be there about 5 or 6 days at least if you want to enjoy the inka trail.
then to Puno by train or by bus (better if you go in the morning cause the landscape is nice. there visit the islands, : Taquile, amantanie, and Uros. (maybe 3 or 4 days)
then to Arequipa, (by bus or train) dont lose the tipical food there (2 or 3 days
then to Nazca and rent a fligth over the Nazca Lines. (1 day)
then to Paracas (1 or 2 days)
then to Lima,
so is missing to visit,Huaraz, Trujillo, Lambayeque,Chiclayo,Tarapoto, Iquitos,Kuellap, Cajamarca. so.... maybe next 3 weeks...
good luck
Victoria
